The Center for Forced Migration Studies (CFMS) at the Buffet
Center for International and Area Studies seeks to bring
together an interdisciplinary group of faculty and students and
foster collaborative networks with organizations and
practitioners to provide an extensive program of research,
teaching, training, outreach and networking in forced migration
studies. All Northwestern and Chicago area faculty, students and
professionals whose research interests or work focuses on forced
migration (including, but not limited to, human rights,
genocide, testimonies and legal documentation, repatriation and
resettlement, human trafficking, humanitarian aid, disaster
preparedness, population displacement and health, climate
change, immigration and asylum policies, security and displaced
populations) are invited to become affiliates of the Center.
Those who join the listserv will receive information about CFMS
events and programs.
