The Northwestern Political Union is a community of students united by their common interest in discussion of political and global affairs. Bringing together students of various backgrounds, ideologies, and political persuasions, the Political Union aims to foster a revival of intellectualism, sincerity, and sophistication in Northwestern University’s campus political discourse. To that end, the Political Union hosts a number of events, forums, debates, and casual gatherings covering a broad spectrum of topics. Throughout the academic year, the Political Union hosts informal, weekly student-run debates. All current Northwestern University undergraduates are welcome to participate. The Political Union also sponsors occasional guest and faculty speaking events, providing interested students with an intimate forum for engagement with leading public intellectuals and political figures.
