****** ANNOUNCEMENT ********

The Office for Research is sponsoring a free "Instrument Grant Writing Workshop" on Friday, February 12, from Noon to 3:00 PM in Hughes Auditorium (Lurie building) on the Chicago campus. A box lunch will be given to pre-registrants.

Participants will hear about changes in Northwestern University procedures and policies regarding instrument grant applications including the requirement for an internal vetting process for any imaging-related application. There will also be discussion of the new Voucher Program that benefits faculty who write successful proposals for instruments housed in core facilities.

The highlight of the workshop will be the opportunity to discuss your ideas with a panel of experts from NU and neighboring universities who have been successful at writing instrument proposals as well as involved in the review process for NIH and NSF.

If you plan to write an instrument grant proposal in the near future, then you will not want to miss this opportunity. Please RSVP to Emily Heppard ([log in to unmask]) if you plan to attend.
