*********** FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT *****************

The Office for Research is sponsoring a free "Instrument Grant Writing Workshop" on Friday, February 12, from Noon to 3:00 PM in Hughes Auditorium (Lurie building) on the Chicago campus.

Participants will hear about changes in Northwestern University procedures and policies regarding instrument grant applications including the requirement for a new internal vetting process for any imaging-related application. There will also be discussion of the new Voucher Program that benefits faculty who write successful proposals for instruments housed in core facilities.

The highlight of the workshop will be the opportunity to discuss your ideas with a panel of experts from NU and neighboring universities who have been successful at writing instrument proposals as well as involved in the review process at NIH and NSF.

If you plan to write an instrument grant in the near future or have been considering it, then you won't want to miss this workshop. If you have further questions, please contact Emily Heppard ([log in to unmask]) in the Office for Research Development.
