Dear Researchers,

The Office for Research (ORD and Core Facilities) will be sponsoring a free Grant Writing Workshop for the 2012 NSF Major Research Instumentation (NSF-MRI) program. The official NSF program announcement is due in early September, and applications will be due at NSF in Jan-Feb, 2012. This is a limited submission program, so internal pre-proposals are due November 1, 2011.

The workshop will cover the internal process for submitting a pre-proposal as well as criteria required for the full application by NSF. It will include a panel of experts who have written successful NSF-MRI proposals and/or served on NSF review panels for this program.

The workshop will take place on Tuesday, September 20, from Noon to 1:30 PM in the ITW Conference Room of the Ford Design Center.

Anyone interested in this program is strongly encouraged to attend the workshop. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact me or Fruma Yehiely, Director of the Office for Research Development ([log in to unmask]).
