****** ANNOUNCEMENT ********

The Office for Research is sponsoring a free "NIH Instrument Grant Writing Workshop" on Wednesday, January 18, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the Ford Design Center (ITW Conference room, 2nd floor) on the Evanston campus.

Participants will learn about Northwestern University's procedures and policies regarding instrument grant applications including the requirement for an internal vetting process for all imaging-related applications. There will also be discussion of the Voucher Program that benefits faculty who write successful proposals for instruments housed in core facilities.

The highlight of the workshop will be the opportunity to discuss your ideas with a panel of experts from NU and UIC who have been successful at writing NIH instrument proposals as well as involved in the review process for NIH.

If you plan to write an instrument grant proposal in the near future, then you will not want to miss this opportunity. Please RSVP to Mandi Chervitz ([log in to unmask]) if you plan to attend. A box lunch will be provided to pre-registrants.
