People doing 31P NMR on live Dicty cultures have bubbled air through the cells in the NMR tube, I tried this and the cells seemed to be happy

Subject: [DICTY] Anyone ever bubble instead of shake?

Hi.

There is a bit of a long and uninteresting story behind this one,
but has anyone ever bubbled their dicty cultures for agitation
instead of shaking? If so, were there any complications?

Peace,
