Hi Mike,
no idea whether someone has already tried, but I would expect problems. Dicty introns are comparatively very small and the consensus sequences for recognition and splicing are a bit different (see attached).

Are Dicty introns efficiently spliced in mammalian cells? We have a genomic
clone of a kinesin we want to express in HeLa cells, and it contains a small
intron just upstream of a targeting region...
