Dear Lisa,

when you are looking for a way to visualise the GOLGI in Dicty cells than
that is the plasmid you are looking for: pGolvesin-delta(76-118)-GFP.
There is a nice version of this available in the stock center made by the
nelson lab. The backbone is the pDM358 that contains a HygR.
When I remember right, than is the complete protein found through the
whole endocytic pathway and just the deletion localises exclusively to the
GOLGI. So an antibody would not be useful for you.
During my PhD I used comitin for IFs. When I remember it right, we got it
from Ralph Graef. But I can be totally wrong. When you get your hands on
it, use methanol for fixing the cells. Otherwise we got always horrible
background staining and the Golgi was just poorly visible and also just in
couple of cells.
Good luck.

Peggy
