Hi Dave-
I vaguely remember that Arturo De Lozanne was trying to express something from mice or humans in Dicty, getting very low expression, and then changed the first dozen or so codons to Dicty-favored codons and then got good expression.

Subject: [DICTY] codon utilization

I am having a Dicty gene synthesized primarily for expression in E. coli but I might also want to express the gene in Dictyostelium. I am trying to decide what codons to use. Has anyone had any experience with codon utilization issues with expression of Dicty genes in E. coli or E. coli optimized genes in Dictyostelium? Thanks- Dave
