I do not know of a prediction of miRNAs in Dicty. Fredrik Soederbom has
done sequencing of small RNAs and detected several miRNAs.
We have compared deep seq data from an rbdB KO (strongly reduced miRNA
accumulation) and agnA KO (accumulated miRNAs) and have detected some
more. There is probably more to find by careful data mining. If anybody
is interested we can probably make the deep seq data available to those
who make the best offer ;-).
The rbdB paper is here:
Meier D, Kruse J, Buttlar J, Friedrich M,
Zenk F, Boesler B, et al. (2016) Analysis of the
Microprocessor in Dictyostelium: The Role of RbdB, a
dsRNA Binding Protein. PLoS Genet 12(6):
e1006057. doi:10.1371/journal.pgen.1006057

Target prediction is difficult. Fredrik has tried and we have tried. Our
attempts for target validation were, however, not really convincing.

wolfgang
