Hi Weiye,
We've expressed histones with Cherry on them.
You get red nuclei. No sign of the clumping that comes with TagRFP.
However, we've noticed weak expression with other fusions- much lower than
you would get with GFP. This causes a problem as the autofluorescence
becomes a pain at these levels of expression.
So we have just Dictyfied the whole sequence, to give it a helping hand.
The plasmid arrived last week and is as yet untested.
