Dear colleagues,

In the context of my PhD I am trying to measure the motility of
D.discoideum cells. For now, I take pictures of a 50 µL droplet of SorC
containing a small number of cells on a 2% phytagel plate every 10 minutes
during 5 hours. I then analyse the images and record the cells coordinates
over time to estimate the diffusion coefficient.I am not completly
satisfied with this method (in particular with the cells behaviour at the
edge of the droplet).

Do you know a better way (both easily implemented and accurate) to measure
amoeba motility?

Thank you very much for your help,

All best,

Mathieu Forget
