Dear colleagues,

Out of 58 participants of the survey, 28 voted for the Dicty2021
conference to be organized on site, 11 voted for a virtual conference
on line, and 19 to postpone the conference. Due to insufficient
support, but primarily to a still rather unstable situation with the
COVID-19 pandemics, organization of an on-site conference in August is
regrettably not feasible. The option of a virtual conference also did
not obtain enough support, and a world-wide conference like this would
also face the challenge of different time zones across the globe.

We therefore decided to postpone the organization of the Dictyostelium
Annual Conference in Croatia to 2023 (Dicty2022 will take place in
Sterling, UK).

All the best,
Igor & Vedrana
