Roshan,

I hope this suggestion is not a goose-chase...there are other cAMP analogues (for eg SP-cAMPS) that you could try to see if they cross react. Of course their use depends on the nature of your experiment. See paper by Johnson etal:

The cyclic nucleotide specificity of three cAMP receptors in Dictyostelium.
Johnson RL, Van Haastert PJ, Kimmel AR, Saxe CL 3rd, Jastorff B, Devreotes PN.
J Biol Chem. 1992 Mar 5;267(7):4600-7.

cAMP ELISA kits utilize cAMP antibody instead of cAMP binding protein

with cAMP analogue like dcAMP which usually used for cAMP response assay.
ELISA kit works fine, unless samples contain any dcAMP.

The following paper may help you to see the nature of cAMP binding
protein and the composition of the assay reagents in Amersham cAMP (3H)
assay kit.

Clin Chim Acta. 1974 Nov 8;56(3):221-34.
A simple direct assay for cyclic AMP in plasma and other biological
samples using an improved competitive protein binding technique.

I am not sure if I can use ELISA kits or any other kits for quantitation of cAMP. Also can you comment on any modifications to the procedure of making and storing of cAMP in case you are using the kit you are recommending?
