There will be great talks, prizes for assistant professors, prizes for postdocs, it is a beautiful venue, and the registration and lodging costs are very low thanks to a large number of sponsors, so this will be a great meeting to bring students to.


2) We are starting an International Dictyostelium Junior Faculty Award.  This will be for faculty who are at the assistant professor level, and who will have a decision made on their promotion to associate professor, or equivalent, on August 15 2019 or later . Candidates can self-nominate, have someone nominate them (colleague, Department Chair), or anyone can nominate an assistant professor.  Please send a 1-page letter of nomination and CV of the candidate by July 1, 2019 to
