Hi Stephen,

A possible alternative is to use MP Biomedicals which offers an HL5 mix
(see <http://www.mpbio.com/quick_search_results.php?q=hl5>), albeit only at
the 454g scale and at about $444.

However, they do not offer LoFlo medium.

Hope this is helpful.

Subject: Re: [DICTY - 240] Purchasing Media from Formedium/UK

Dear Stephen,
You can make it from the components of HL-5 which could
                   be obtained from Himedia(INDIA)

Has anyone purchased media from Formedium, a company out of the UK? We
have requested HL-5 and LoFlo medium for testing in-house. But, it appears
that Formedium does not have an office in the US and that we would have to
act as importees (at additional cost) to get the media into the US. Has
anyone gone through this process? And if so is the associated cost and
issues dealing with the USDA worth the effort? The cost of media,
depending on shipping charges, appears to be >than 60% from what we are
presently doing now.

Would be thankful for any insight anyone might have on this subject.
