There was a question during last Thursday’s meeting about the MeSH term, Abortion, Criminal.  A colleague of mine was already working on this term and will submit a request to have the heading changed to Abortion, Illegal.  As to the treeing, it’s under Crime.  It’s there according to the laws in certain places and/or under certain circumstances.  It’s too bad that some of the other crimes listed are particularly offensive, like Corpse Dismemberment.

 

In NLM Classification, we will also change the caption name at W 867 from Criminal abortion.  This classification is roughly equivalent to the LC Classification, RA1067.
