Hi Elizabeth,
Those changes were accepted, yes! But they haven’t been officially announced/implemented yet.
LC publishes both
tentative lists (for discussion before approval) and
approved lists. Because there were so many proposals involved in this change, these headings were on a separate list than the other proposals they considered in March. Here’s the
tentative list for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing proposals. This list is named “2403a,” since it was considered at the March (03) 2024 meeting, and the “a” denotes a separate list. We have to wait
a few months for the changes to be implemented, though. When they’ve officially moved through the process, they’ll be published on the approved lists. You can see at that page that the last LCSH changes they published were the ones they considered at the November
2023 meeting, so they’re running a few months behind.
Thanks,
Violet

Subject: question on LCSH for Hearing impaired
Hi,
Was the work for the LCSH Hearing impaired accepted by LC? Is it on any of the current SACO lists? I’m not sure where to look for this.
Thanks,
Elizabeth
