Educational Conference on Bioinformatics and Next Generation Sequencing

To provide an educational opportunity for Northwestern investigators on Next
Generation Sequencing (NGS), the Bioinformatics Consulting Core is sponsoring
the “Critical Assessment on Massive Data Analysis” (CAMDA 2009) conference
on Oct 5-6, 2009. CAMDA is the only conference on NGS using the format of a
scientific competition. All speakers at CAMDA are analyzing the same data set.
Over the past nine years, CAMDA was reviewed twice in Nature.

Online registration is required for CAMDA 2009:
    www.camda2009.org
Corporate/Industry $385.00
Northwestern Faculty/Staff $200.00
Student $100.00

The goals of CAMDA are:

 - Raise the awareness of computational complexity on NGS data analysis
 - Establish the best practice of NGS data analysis by community wisdom
 - Provide educational resources to investigators at Northwestern and the
greater Chicago area.

In addition to 14 contributed speakers, CAMDA 2009 includes two
distinguished keynote speakers, Professors Mark Gerstein (Yale) and Professor
Martin Morgan (Fred Hutchison); an invited lecture by Professor Bento Soares
(CMH); and a hands-on tutorial session on NGS data analysis.
