present slides on their 2012-2013 research accomplishments: Van Duyne, Schatz, Mirkin, T. Odom, Huang, Hersam, Marks.

Subject: Slides for IRG meeting and MRSEC Annual Review
Hi everyone
For our December IRG meeting (Monday after Thanksgiving, 2 December), I need the following groups to prepare 3-4 slides based on
research accomplishments from 2012-2013: Van Duyne, Schatz, Mirkin, T. Odom, Huang, Hersam, Marks.
Most of this can be taken from the Annual Review you just submitted. Make sure that the first slide is a quad chart with the following information: objective as it fits into the IRG mission; methods used to solve problem; big result and
significance; representative image and/or graph. Please send to my assistant Lisa by noon so that she can put onto the MRSEC computer.
By this same deadline, I need ALL IRG groups to send Lisa 2-3 slides based on
future research directions for the next year and beyond.
Most of this can be taken from the Annual Review as well as the brainstorming session from the November IRG meeting.
This deadline is in place so that I have enough time to look at all of the slides before the IRG meeting on 2 December. I will need to present on behalf of the IRG at the Annual Meeting on 10 December, and I need a week to synthesize the
information, ask you questions, and prepare the 45-minute talk based on current accomplishments and future goals.
William will make available the MRSEC template.
